3 months agoWe held our wedding reception at Sergeants’ Mess on 16/12/25, and it was one of the best decisions we made. The venue is stunning, private, and beautifully set up-spacious yet warm and intimate. The planning process was smooth and stress-free. Holly was fantastic to work with-always responsive, organised, and accommodating. The food was exceptional, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about it. On the day, Holly and our bridal attendant Nina looked after us so well, allowing us to fully enjoy the night. Thank you so much Holly Lehanie and Brooke for your incredible support. We truly couldn’t have done it without you.

a month agoWe set up our ballpit and softplay here for a first birthday party and the venue was perfect. Big shout out to Josephine in helping us coordinate bump in and bump out time and the space itself was clean and spacious - perfect for setting up our balloon backdrop, softplay and ballpit set up. Highly recommend this venue for a birthday party or function! We can't wait to be back 🥰

2 months agoGreat place to watch the start of the 2025 Sydney to Hobart yacht race. The excitement is during the hour before the start and 10 minutes after. We were blessed with a spinnaker start. This also went we were face on to a 15+knot wind and a cool 17deg, but worth it. Be careful with your parking Some parking is managed by Mosman Council / Harbour Trust (No free parking) and some are managed by National Parks & Wildlife Service (annual passes = 4 hrs free parking) Well signposted.

4 months agoOk . Great venue. Right on the water. I live on the harbour so nothing new but still great spot. There for an afternoon wedding. Want to compliment the staff. As a hospitality business owner and worker for over 38 years I couldn’t fault the service. Outstanding from all of the staff. Credit to you all. The food was 3 1/2 . It was good but no,”wow.” Again that’s not criticism just honest feedback . Not going to go into detail about the food because the service is on point .Great staff . Thank you.

a month agoThe venue itself is spacious, beautiful, and exactly what we wanted. Sadly, our experience with the wedding planner, Holly, was extremely stressful and disappointing :( We clearly communicated our requirements and even drew the entire seating plan ourselves using their template, yet she changed it constantly for no reason and made several mistakes when updating it for us. We then had to go back and forth multiple times just to get her version corrected to what we had originally provided. She was also EXTREMELY IMPATIENT with us and even rolled her eyes when hearing about our ideas! She also told us we were only allowed to enter the venue 10–15 minutes before the ceremony, giving us no time to check decorations. We followed her instructions, only to find out on the wedding day that other guests were allowed even 30mins earlier. Since we were only allowed to enter 10 mins before the ceremony start time, we weren't able to verify the layout and placements of our items, as well as have a quick mini rehearsal. This caused unnecessary stress right before our ceremony. On top of that, she gave us a lot of incorrect advice regarding sizes, item placement, and even pricing. She repeatedly told us many things “couldn’t be done,” yet when we spoke to other staff on the day, we were told these were never an issue at all!!! The venue itself is great, other staff that we have spoken to are really helpful and nice, but just Holly our coordinator is terrible and extremely unprofessional! She caused a lot of unnecessary stress and anxiety during what should have been a happy occasion. I would recommend the venue, but strongly suggest choosing another coordinator instead.
